Climate Change Response Plan Templates are also being developed through the Local Government Climate Change Support Program (LGCCS). This section of the website explains the process of developing a Climate Change Response Plan.

What is a Climate Change Response Plan?

A climate change response plan as referred to in the National Climate Change Response White Paper is:

"A plan to effectively manage inevitable climate change impacts through interventions that build and sustain social, economic and environmental resilience and emergency response capacity."

Climate Change Response Plans therefore highlight key impacts from climate change for a particular area and range of interventions that can manage these impacts.

The video and presentation below provides a summary of process for developing a Climate Change Response Plan using templates developed though the LGCCS.
